2023. Video installation

This work takes as its starting point the process of transition from female to male gender. And, at the same time, of other transitions of the body and the spirit. On the one hand, the nude figure portrayed in the intimacy of her bedroom evokes earthiness and the eroticism of the flesh; on the other, the stuffed turtledove functions as a simulacrum of mystery and a deadly dimension. Here death is not understood as a limit to life, but also as a space of freedom, expression and possibility. This idea of a state "between", of space "between", of transit and passage is finally evoked by the translucent screen which, at the same time, welcomes the projection and allows us to look through it.
